I had the distinct pleasure of photographing Shannon and her precious family at the South Austin fairgrounds in Austin, Texas. We’ve been living in drought conditions for so long that it was hard to wish the dark clouds away. Thankfully, the rain held off and we were able to capture some sparky pieces of magic before the storm hit overnight. Very natural. The background plays an important role in the story telling here. Good job.
The project is original. Good thinking. It is true that many photographers are alienated from their own family environment, which is a contradiction if it is moving towards capturing the human sense of life through the art of photography.
